Our History

My Receptionist was started in 1997 by a Certified Massage Therapist named Rachel McKinley. Rachel realized how important the telephone was to alternative health care providers, and also how difficult it was to answer telephone calls while providing services to her clients. She realized that to have others answer the phones for her when she was unable to, whether they were scheduling appointments or simply providing information, would be of great value to her business.

Traditional answering services don’t typically have any understanding or knowledge of alternative healthcare. My Receptionist was designed by massage therapists for alternative health care professionals like you. We understand the intricacies of scheduling and the services that you offer your clients.

The My Receptionist service package is designed to accommodate therapists and their clients. When My Receptionist answers a call from one of your clients, we can accurately schedule the appointments confidently using our ISS and avoid double bookings, which can occur with traditional services. In addition, each therapist has easy access to their schedules in “the book” on our Internet Scheduling System (ISS), where they can also schedule their own appointments.
